1. Who we are
The Chats Me ("The Chats Me", "we") is the controller of the personal data collected through the website thechats.me and the app atapp.thechats.me. We operate from Portugal, in the European Union, and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, company, role and access credentials.
- Usage data: access logs, IP address, device type and interactions with the platform.
- Conversation content: messages, attachments, contacts and metadata processed across the channels you connect.
- Meta platform data: when you connect WhatsApp Business, Instagram or Facebook Messenger accounts, we process profile identifiers, public name, business phone number and the message content required to deliver the support service.
- Google Merchant Center data: when you connect Google Merchant Center to DropHub, we process the data described in section 11.
- Payment data: processed by payment providers; we do not store full card details.
3. How we use data
- Provide, maintain and improve the platform and customer support.
- Route, automate and respond to conversations on connected channels.
- Ensure security, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
- Send service updates and, with consent, marketing communications.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
We process personal data based on performance of a contract(service delivery), consent (where applicable, e.g. marketing), legitimate interest (security and product improvement) and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with sub-processors that help us operate the service (cloud hosting, infrastructure, payments and analytics), always under contract and our instructions. Data exchanged withMeta Platforms, Inc. is also governed by Meta's policies when you use WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger. Data exchanged with Google LLC when you connect Google Merchant Center is also governed by Google's terms (see section 11).
6. International transfers
Where transfers outside the European Economic Area occur, we apply appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Data retention
We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, access control and monitoring, to protect your data.
9. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To delete your data, see our Data Deletion Instructions or write to privacy@thechats.me. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).
10. Meta platforms
Use of Meta integrations is subject to theMeta Platform Terms. We process data obtained through Facebook Login and Meta APIs solely to provide the support features you contracted, and not for purposes incompatible with Meta's policies.
11. Google user data (DropHub and Google Merchant Center)
When you connect your Google Merchant Center account to DropHub, our marketplace hub, you sign in with Google and grant thehttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/content permission, which lets DropHub manage the product listings in your Google Shopping account.
- Data we access: the list of product data sources in your Merchant Center account, the products DropHub publishes there on your behalf (title, description, price, availability, condition, images, product link, GTIN and brand) and the processing status Google reports for those products.
- How we use it: only to publish, update and remove, in your own Merchant Center account, the products you choose in DropHub, and to show you whether Google accepted them. We do not access any other data in your Google Account.
- Storage and security: the access and refresh tokens Google issues are stored encrypted on our servers, and only DropHub's server uses them to call the Merchant API.
- Sharing: we do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising or to build profiles, and do not transfer it to third parties, except where needed to provide the service (such as our hosting providers), to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your prior consent.
- Human access: our team does not read this data unless you ask us for help with it, it is needed for security (such as investigating abuse), or the law requires it.
- Artificial intelligence: we do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- Retention and revocation: when you disconnect Google Merchant Center in DropHub, we delete the stored tokens immediately. You can also revoke DropHub's access at any time in yourGoogle Account permissions. Products already published stay in your Merchant Center account, under your control. To delete any other data, see section 9.
DropHub's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
12. Cookies
We use cookies that are essential to the website and, with your consent, analytics cookies. You can manage preferences in your browser.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. We will publish the revised version on this page with its update date.
